Excavator rakes for compact machines: two Future rakes sized for the CAT 303 class and one pin-on rake for the CAT 305, 305.5 and 306. Choose by machine fit and width.

Start with your machine

Fit decides everything with a rake. This page has three Future rakes, and each is listed for a specific machine class:

  • 38″ and 46″ rakes: both are listed for the CAT 303 class. Pin size is 40mm. The listings say to see the photos for exact pin dimensions.
  • 44″ rake: pins onto a CAT 305/305E2, 305.5E2 or 306 mini excavator.

If your machine is not in one of those groups, check the pin measurements before you order. Don't assume a rake will fit.

Compare the specs that matter

  • Width: the CAT 303 rakes come in 38 inches and 46 inches. The CAT 305-class rake is 44 inches. A wider rake covers more ground per pass. A narrower one is easier to place in tighter spots.
  • Pin size: the 303-class rakes use a 40mm pin. The 44″ rake uses a 45 mm (1.77 in) pin.
  • 44″ rake mounting dimensions: ear to ear is 208 mm (8.19 in). Center to center is 260.5 mm (10.25 in). Compare these with your own machine's coupler or stick end.
  • Material: the 38″ and 46″ rakes are made of high-strength steel. The 44″ listing describes the rake as heavy-duty but does not name the material.

What they are used for

The CAT 303-class listings name land clearing, brush removal, root raking and site preparation. The 44″ listing describes raking brush, roots and rock out of soil without hauling the dirt with it. Compare those descriptions with your own work before you pick a width.
