Genie Scissor Lifts

Match platform height and capacity to the job

Specs differ by model, and sometimes by unit, so read each listing before you compare. Here is what the listings show:

• GS-1930: 19 ft platform, 500 lb capacity, about 2 ft 6 in wide. It is the narrowest electric model on this page.
• GS-2632: 26 ft platform, 500 lb capacity, 32 in wide.
• GS-3232: 32 ft 1 in platform, 500 lb capacity, 2 ft 8 in wide, 5,367 lb.
• GS-3246: 32 ft platform, 700 lb capacity, 3 ft 10 in wide, 6,200 lb. Choose it over the GS-3232 if you need more load.
• GS-4047: The 2017 and 2018 units list a 38 ft 5 in platform, 770 lb capacity and 3 ft 11 in width. The 2015 unit (#879) lists a 40 ft platform, 550 lb capacity and 47 in width, so don't assume the same figures across units.

Electric or rough terrain

Most of the lifts here are electric, battery-powered models. The rough terrain models are the GS-2669 RT (26 ft platform, 1,500 lb), the GS-3369 RT (32 ft 8 in platform, 1,000 lb) and the GS-4069 RT (40 ft 3 in platform, 800 lb, 5 ft 9 in wide, 10,392 lb). The GS-2669 RT lists 35 percent gradeability. If your site is uneven ground, start with these. If you only need to work on a flat surface, the electric models are lighter and narrower.

Used or refurbished

• Hours: Each listing shows its hours. The used electric lifts here range from 59 to 568 hours. The rough terrain units show 1,732 to 2,885 hours.
• Batteries: Most used electric listings state new batteries installed before delivery. Confirm this on the unit you choose.
• Refurbished units: The refurbished GS1930 and GS3232 get new 6 volt batteries, paint and tires, and carry a 30-day warranty. That warranty covers only electric lifts less than 20 years old. The refurbished GS2632 lists a 2-4 week lead time.
• Financing: Some listings show financing and others don't, so check the one you want.
