Fabric Building Kits: Who Installs Them and What Sets the Install Cost

Covermore Buildings sells fabric building kits but does not install them. If you hire out the work, the install cost depends on your location, the building size, the equipment needed and the installer you choose. Here is what comes in the kit, what help you can get from us and how to prepare your site.

Does Covermore Buildings install its fabric buildings?

No. Covermore Buildings does not install its fabric buildings; the prefabricated kits ship to you and the buyer arranges setup.

Most of our customers who hire out the install contact a local construction crew or contractor to put the building up.

What does a fabric building kit include, and what doesn't it?

The kit includes the building cover and all the framework needed to assemble it. It does not include installation or concrete.

If your plan calls for a slab or concrete piers, that is a separate job you arrange locally.

What does it cost to have a fabric building kit installed?

The install cost depends on four things:

• your location
• the size of the building
• what equipment is needed
• the experience of the installer you hire

Because those change from job to job, we can't give a set number. Most of our past customers who hired out the install got local quotes from construction crews and contractors.

How hard is a fabric building kit to put together?

Fabric building kits aren't too bad to install, though how hard the job is depends on the size and model of the building.

To get a good picture before you start, search YouTube for dual truss fabric building installation videos. A couple of our own customers have posted videos of their installs, and those give you a realistic look at similar buildings.

Can I get help from Covermore Buildings during the install?

Yes. If you have questions during your install, you can contact our yard foreman, who has installed these structures and is good at explaining the process.

That help comes by phone. We may not have installer contacts near you, so the phone support and the manual are what we provide.

Is there a manual or layout for preparing the site?

Yes. The kit comes with an installation manual packed in one of the crates, and we can email you a copy before the building ships.

Getting it early lets you prepare your pad and auger your concrete post holes to the proper depth for anchoring before the crates arrive.
