Fabric Building Installation Manual: Wall Order, Cover Fit and Tension

Every Covermore fabric building kit comes with an installation manual and a parts list. The buyer or a local crew does the install, and the manual plus a few tips from the team answer common questions about wall order, cover fit and tension.

Does a fabric building come with an installation manual?

Yes. Each Covermore fabric building comes with an installation manual. Covermore also has the manual as a PDF file that can be sent by email.

Is there a parts list with the kit?

Yes. An items list of the parts in the kit comes with the installation manual.

How far apart are the arches?

On the larger Covermore buildings, the arches are typically 10 feet apart. Each arch has a base plate for securing the building.

Does the back wall go on before the roof cover?

Ideally, yes. On a Covermore 40x40 fabric building with a back wall, the team recommends putting the back wall on before the roof cover. You don't have to do it in that order, but it is the one the team recommends.

Why is the cover coming up short on one side?

When a fabric building cover seems too short on one side, the usual cause is that the cover is turned the wrong way. The longer side of the cover is usually the side that goes from side to side.

How do you keep a fabric building cover tight?

Tighten the ratchet straps. A Covermore cover pulls tight so it doesn't flap, and ratchet straps hold that tension. If you notice slack in the cover after the install, tighten the ratchet straps to tension it again.
