Two first-time builders can put up a 20x40x12 fabric building in about 30 hours; a 50x100x26 takes a crew one and a half to two weeks.

How long does it take to put up a fabric building? It depends mostly on the size: a Covermore 20x40x12 takes two first-time builders about 30 hours, while a 50x100x26 takes a crew of four or five people a week and a half to two weeks. The 50x100x26 also needs equipment that reaches the top of the frame.

How Long Does It Take Two People to Put Up a 20x40x12 Fabric Building?

Two people who have not built one before should plan on about 30 hours for a 20x40x12. That time is usually spread across a couple of weekends, such as a Friday and a Saturday of around eight hours each, rather than finished in one stretch.

How Long Does It Take to Put Up a 50x100x26 Fabric Building?

A Covermore 50x100x26 fabric building takes roughly a week and a half to two weeks to put up with four or five people. Covermore's own team put one up themselves with a crew that size.

What Lifting Equipment Does a 50x100x26 Fabric Building Need?

A 50x100x26 needs equipment that lifts to around 26 feet, because the top of the building is 26 feet high. Covermore's team used a SkyTrak and a borrowed jib to set theirs up.

The tarp is very heavy, so pulling it over the frame took two or three pieces of equipment working together, with ropes run up over the frame to help drag the cover into place.

Can You Get Help During the Build?

Yes. Covermore's team helps with fabric building installation questions by phone, and there are videos that show how the 50x100x26 goes together.
