A Covermore container shelter can go on a pony wall or concrete blocks instead of shipping containers. The shelter is built for containers, though, so a pony wall base takes some fabrication work, and the height you end up with depends on what the shelter sits on.

Can a container shelter go on a pony wall instead of containers?

Yes, with fabrication work. A Covermore container-mounted shelter can go on a pony wall (a short wall built as a base), but the base plates made for the container corners have to be cut off and a new mount fabricated. Plan for that if you are not setting it on containers.

How much clearance does a container shelter give on concrete blocks?

A Covermore 26x40 container shelter set on 3-foot concrete blocks gives about 13 feet of clearance in the middle. The 26x40 is a single pipe model that stands 10 feet from the top center of the shelter down to whatever it is mounted on, so the block height adds to that.

How tall is a container shelter mounted on containers?

The total height is the shelter's height above the containers plus the container height. For example, a Covermore container shelter that rises 6.5 feet from the top of the container to the top of the shelter tops out at 15 or 16 feet on shipping containers, depending on container height.

Can a container shelter mount on the outside edges of the containers?
