How long do the covers last?+
A fabric building’s strength and durability comes down to its materials, proper installation, and proper maintenance, as well as mild vs harsh weather environments.
The steel frame should last 20+ years, while the covers vary based upon the fabric.
Here’s an estimated lifespan of fabric before it starts to wear and may need replaced:
- 10.5/11 oz. PE: 3-5 years
- 15 oz PVC: 6-8 years
- 20/21 oz PVC: 8-12 years
- 30/32 oz PVC: 12-15+ years
How long does it take to install?+
Most structures can be installed in 2-3 days and require 4 to 6 laborers. Site and conditions, as well as size of structure play a major role in determining the number of laborers and equipment needed. Instruction manuals and all hardware needed is provided in the building crate.
What are the wind and snow ratings?+
Our PVC fabric shelters and buildings are not engineered with published wind or snow load ratings. Instead, we rely on years of real-world performance and customer experience. We are located in Northeast Oklahoma, an area well known for strong winds and severe weather, and we currently have four different structures installed on our own property—including both single-pipe and dual truss shelters and buildings. These structures have performed exceptionally well in our local conditions when properly installed and maintained.
If you are located in an area that experiences heavy snow, high winds, or more extreme weather, we strongly recommend choosing a dual truss frame paired with a 30 oz PVC fabric cover. This combination offers our highest level of strength and durability, providing greater structural stability and a more robust cover than our single-pipe or PE fabric models. As with any fabric structure, proper installation, routine maintenance, and removing excessive snow accumulation when possible will help maximize the life and performance of your shelter.
